Does Covid-19 affect the application process at ep?

The engineering people group takes the developments regarding COVID-19 very seriously. Protecting the health of our applicants and employees is our number one priority. For this reason, we have taken all the necessary preventive measures and also adapted our application process to the current conditions. All information on this is given in the following FAQs. You are welcome to send us your unresolved questions via our contact form or phone our local contact partners directly.

Can I apply to ep in the time of Covid-19?

We are still seeking new employees! You can continue to apply to us. We will receive your application as before. We will process it as quickly as possible. However, if any delays in the application process occur at the moment, we ask you for your understanding. 

Are job interviews currently taking place?

Yes. Job interviews are taking place. The health of our applicants and employees is our number one priority. For this reason, we are offering interviews via video chat or by phone. We will contact you in the event of delays or changes in times. If you have any questions or would like to clarify further details, please contact your individual contact partner. 

Are all positions on the website to be filled despite Covid-19?

We attach great importance to ensuring that job offers advertised are up to date. It is therefore still worth applying for vacant positions during the Covid-19 crisis. 

Are any jobs fairs currently taking place?

To protect employees and applicants, ep is not currently taking part in any jobs fairs. You can find information on participation in future fairs here.

How can I apply for a job at engineering people and which application route is preferred?

You can apply via our online application form or by e-mail. Select a suitable job under Current vacancies. You can then fill out the online application form (apply online). Alternatively, you can send your complete application documents by e-mail to the designated contact (apply by e-mail), whose details you will find in the job ad. We prefer you to apply via our online application form. E-mail applications will of course be considered and processed equally; you will not suffer any disadvantages. 

I cannot find a suitable position at present. Can I send you a speculative application?

Yes, to do so please use our speculative application form. It is important to include meaningful application documents including details of your desired area of activity, place of employment, starting date, salary expectations, as well as your mobility situation and willingness to travel. This information allows us to compare possible vacancies with your qualifications and expectations – and show you tailored opportunities at ep. 

I am able to travel throughout Germany. Does this mean I have to apply to all ep locations?

No. Please apply for a job at one branch office and state in your application that you are able to travel anywhere in Germany. You will find our locations and the corresponding contacts under Locations.

I am interested in several vacancies at a branch office. Do I have to apply more than once?

No, please apply for a specific position and state in your application that you are also interested in other positions. 

How does your online application process work?

Click on "apply online" in the job ad. The online application form will then open. Enter your contact details as the first step. In the second step, please select your application documents – you do not have to include a cover letter.

Please note that only two files in the formats .pdf, .jpg, .doc or .docx with a maximum file size of 3 MB can be uploaded. In the next step, please tell us where you heard about us. You can also leave optional comments here. Finally, check the boxes regarding data protection and click on "Send" to submit your application.

In which format can I send my documents? And what is their maximum size?

You can upload 2 files in the formats .pdf, .jpg, .doc or .docx with a maximum file size of 3 MB. 

What should my application include?

In the first instance we need a detailed and complete CV including a description of your previous activities as well as any references, attestations and certificates that are relevant to the position. A cover letter can optionally be enclosed. 

To whom should I send my application?

Please send your application to the employee responsible for the selected position. You will find his or her details at the bottom of the job ad. This employee is available to answer your questions. 

To whom will my application be forwarded if I apply for a job using the online form?

The employee responsible for the selected position will receive your application. You will find his or her details at the bottom of the job ad. 

To whom will my application be forwarded if I apply using the speculative application form?

In the case of unsolicited applications, we review the information in your application and then assign it to the appropriate branch office. 

Whom can I contact if I have questions about the status of my application?

You are welcome to contact the relevant contact for your chosen position. You will find his or her details at the bottom of the job ad. You are also welcome to contact the employee who sent you a confirmation of receipt. 

How can I check whether you have received my application?

If you apply directly via our online form, you will receive a confirmation of receipt immediately after sending us your application documents. If you apply by e-mail, you will receive confirmation of receipt within one working day. If you do not receive this, check your spam folder. If you have not received a confirmation within the aforementioned period, please contact the designated ep employee. 

Whom should I contact if I cannot upload or send my application?

You are welcome to get in touch with the employee whose details appear in the job ad. Alternatively, between 08:00 and 17:00 you can contact our staff via the live chat feature on our website. 

What happens with my application?

In each case you will receive a confirmation of receipt within one day. Your application will then be carefully reviewed by the designated contact. If your qualifications match the corresponding requirements profile or the project proposals that are currently available, we will invite you to attend an initial interview – either by telephone or on site.  

Provided we are a good fit for each other and our customer is interested, your ep contact will accompany you to the customer's site. If you, the customer and we all agree, we will welcome you to the engineering people team! 

 

I am unable to attend the interview. Whom should I inform?

You will receive written confirmation of the time and date of your face-to-face meeting; this will also include the contact information for the relevant contact at ep. You are welcome to contact him or her if you are unable to attend at the agreed time. 

I applied for several positions and received a rejection. Does the rejection apply to all my applications?

You will find this information in the rejection letter. If an exact position is specified, the rejection only applies to this particular position. In case of uncertainty please don't hesitate to contact us. 

Can I apply again after receiving a rejection?

Of course, you are welcome to reapply even after receiving a rejection. 

What does the designation (m/f/n) after each job title mean?

This designation signals that we fill our positions based on the talents, skills and motivation of the applicants and do not favour any particular gender. The abbreviations stand for m = male, w = female, n = non-binary. 

Can I withdraw my application?

Yes, you can withdraw your application. Simply get in touch with your contact and ask them to delete your application and/or your personal data. They will send you a confirmation. 

Can I correct an incorrect online application?

Yes, simply apply again and add a note in the online form. We will then delete the incorrect application and continue working with the corrected version. 

Are the advertised positions currently vacant?

Yes, the jobs listed on our website are always current and vacant. Newly filled positions are immediately removed from our Current vacancies

How does ep protect my data?

The protection of your data has the highest priority for us. engineering people stores, collects, processes and uses the submitted information and application documents, as well as all information and data contained therein, to the extent necessary for the automated, mechanical and manual execution and processing of the application process in accordance with the provisions of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). For how long will my data be stored?

Only for as long as you want! 

We process your data exclusively within the scope of your application and on the basis of your consent and our Privacy Policy. This does not affect your right, at any time, to revoke your consent or to request the erasure of all personal data concerning you. You can submit a request for the erasure of your data to any contact at ep. 

Your consent to the processing and storage of your data will remain valid until you explicitly revoke it by sending an e-mail to datenschutz@ep-group.de.

In which areas of ep are internships available?

Internships at ep are offered in commercial and technical areas. Please indicate your desired area in your application. We will then explore the possibilities with the respective department. Simply submit a speculative application under Current vacancies

Is there a minimum duration for an internship?

No. All that matters is that you state the desired duration of the internship in your application, and whether it is a mandatory internship.

What training opportunities are there at ep?

We provide training in the following professions: Office Management Clerk (m/f/n) and Human Resources Services Clerk (m/f/n). Please refer to the job ads under Current vacancies to find out which training positions are available and when they start. 

Can I join ep as a student trainee?

Yes, any available positions for student trainees are listed in our Current vacancies. These are mainly available in the area of recruiting or sales. Alternatively, you can also send us an unsolicited application. 

Can I complete a dual curriculum at ep?

We offer four different dual Bachelor programmes: 

- Business Administration Service Management with a focus on Sales (B.A.) 

- Business Administration Service Management with a focus on Human Resources (B.A.) 

- Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.) 

- Technical documentation (B.A.)

Can I complete a part-time course of study at ep?

At ep, professional development is given a high priority. If you're planning to complete a part-time course of study, you can make this clear during the introductory meeting and discuss the various options with your future supervisor. 

Which documents and papers do I need to apply for an internship, apprenticeship or course of study?

Your application should include your CV and current credentials – a cover letter is optional. You can upload two files in the formats .pdf, .jpg, .doc or .docx with a maximum size of 3 MB. 

What are my chances of a securing job at ep after my training or studies?

At ep, our goal is to retain all of our trainees and students. To this end, we will sit down with you ahead of time to discuss possible work areas and job opportunities. 

Is there a deadline for applications for apprenticeships and study places?

No, we do not have a general application deadline. As long as a position is advertised on our website, you can apply for it. However, true to the motto "first come, first served", you should send us your application as early as possible. 

For the sake of brevity we sometimes use only male pronouns in the text. However, people of any gender are equally welcome at ep.
